A Staten Island grand jury on Wednesday ended the criminal case against a white New York police officer whose chokehold on an unarmed black man led to the man’s death.  The Eric Garner case has drawn a lot of attention from the public and has led to many public riots.  The fatal encounter in July was captured on video and seen around the world. But after viewing the footage and hearing from witnesses, including the officer who used the chokehold, the jurors deliberated for less than a day before deciding that there was not enough evidence to go forward with charges against the officer, Daniel Pantaleo, 29, in the death of the man, Eric Garner, 43.   He described the menuveur  as a takedown move, adding that he never thought Mr. Garner was in mortal danger.  Angery citizens continue to protest.

Its so sad to think this man and his family are getting no justice.  I believe an indictment should of been issued, due to the fact that Mr. Garner repeatedly said he could breath.  Even if it was a takedown move the police officer should not have used so much violence.  The riots are getting out of control in many cities.  I wonder what a police officer has to do for the grand jury to issue to an indictment.
